QuickReactionDallas2

Down Goes Dallas! The Cannons hand Dallas their first franchise loss in history in a 24-22 victory, improving to 5-1. Coach Tuba’s adjustments have paid off. Mischa Freystaetter, last year’s league leading scorer, has settled in nicely to the defensive line. He, Mike Hickson and Michael Fairley, at 6’7″, 6’5″ and 6’4″ respectively, shadowed the Dallas handling core with big marks on the disc. The trio combined for 6 blocks in the game, Hickson with 3 of those. Defensive captain, Chris LaRocque, played a heck of a game against Dallas star handler Jimmy Mickle, holding him to only 2 assists. On offense, Tyler Kunsa and Bobby Ley sliced and diced their way to 5 and 7 assists respectively. Jordan Huston reeled in a team high 7 goals while Jeremy Langdon earned Player of the Week honors for his two spectacular layout grabs. Although Coach Tuba could hardly single out one player for this week’s honors, with several worthy candidates on both sides of the disc. The Cannons currently sit in 2nd place in the AUDL South with the 1st place Raleigh Flyers coming to town next Saturday in a battle for the division. Join us at The Bolles School next Saturday at 7 PM for an epic showdown! BOOM
